In this week’s sermon, Rev. Harris preaches on Isaiah 11:1-10. Like last week, this text is considered messianic. And also like last week, Rev. Harris invites us to think of liberation as collective rather than coming from a single heroic figure. This text also contains the famous verse, “The wolf shall lie down with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid.” Is Isaiah predicting a literal transformation of predatory-prey relationships or is suggesting that humans need to stop preying on each other and allowing themselves to be preyed upon. Maybe both. There is a lot to unpack. So let’s get to it!
